It took me ages to decide whether to share this version of my first cartoon. But it was simply an exercise without which I couldn't get my Autodesk Certificate from Digital Dreams Barcelona.
I was so proud of myself when I handed it in on the 6th on April, but since then I was told that:
a) the palette is inconsistent
b) changing the light from what I thought could be daybreak to sunset, just to give a sense of time passing more quickly than it appears, is actually quite confusing
c) There is no depth of field, no fog and no blur
d) It takes a couple of views, at least, to guess the snail is hungry and can't move because the shell is too heavy.
In spite of all this, it was still a step in my learning process. I hope by next year I'll look back to this experiment with the same tenderness you look at your primary school drawings. I'm trying to put together a beta version, even though it would require radical changes.
